Bright white cafe, dark (and harsh) coffee. MJ Cafe is a laptop warrior remote work cafe with a well designed and accommodating environment. Plants line the entrance, and it reads as “hip” (see the neon light cursive sign and Y2K music). Lounge area is homey and cute. Plant of seating is nice with classic bistro style tables. Drip coffee: Bitter, dark, a bit hard to drink. On paper, it’s a medium roast, but drinks like a dark roast. A bit nutty in taste. Unclear on where beans were from when I asked. Strange amount of bubbles on top of the coffee as well. Ownership can consider using a slightly lighter roast for a more balanced flavor; and extracting less from the beans (consider a few notches coarser in grind setting). People seemed to be having a nice experience hanging out there. Some nice amenities (water, bathroom). Drip coffee score: 3/5. Everything else score: 4.25/5. Overall score: 3.75/5.

This place has hands down, THE BEST avocado toast I’ve ever had around the world. It was incredible. Love how there was also a bit of olive oil included - unlike many other avocado toasts. The owner of the place who I think often is present - is such a nice and wonderful guy as well. I’ll definitely be back - I can’t wait! Thank you for the fantastic hospitality and food!

It's a family owned business. The owner is from Ecuador and was very friendly and welcoming towards me and my friend. I had an affogato and a chicken empanada and it tastes great. I recommend stopping by!

Coffee isn't the best I've had in the area, but it's super spacious, has great bathroom accommodations, pretty solid wifi, and a water station. Really great spot to plop down. Music is a little loud though.

This is a hidden gem! Extremely cute everything! The space is clean and cozy. The worker was very sweet and kind. Reminds me of a small mom and pop shop. They offer a wide range of bakery items as well as some nice drinks. The shop is perfect for getting work done or taking a quiet moment for yourself. I’m not sure how long they’ve been open, buy I’m glad it is! Take advantage while you can, it’s too nice to pass up.

Stopped by for a coffee and a place to charge my phone. Pleasantly surprised at the chill atmosphere with good music and modern decorations.

I ordered an almond croissant, and shockingly, it wasn't too sweet (perfect for me), unlike the lady who made me it. She was incredibly kind, and for the only person working there, was extremely efficient. The atmosphere is a little overwhelming but i get the charm. They have a little couch and a TV where they play k-dramas!!

WHITE. Very quite, comfortable cafe. Banana Peanut Bread is delicious. Watch out for the first step on the stairs to the seating area.
